If you would like to use the University of North Texas virtual private network service, VPN, without signing in to a browser, you can install UNT's Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client on your machine. The VPN address should be pre-populated as vpn.unt.edu (or vpn#.unt.edu -- where # is a number). If you are faculty or staff, leave the group as General and Authenticate with your EUID credentials. A Virtual Private Network (VPN) provides an encrypted connection (secure tunnel) from off campus to the UNC-Chapel Hill internal network. VPN enables the UNC-Chapel Hill community to access campus applications and work securely, just as if users were physically on campus.
VPN stands for Virtual Private Network. VPN allows for a temporary encrypted connection to UNLV's network across the internet. This link allows the transfer of information and data securely, giving access to campus resources that would otherwise be inaccessible. When connected to VPN, all internet traffic is routed via the campus network. If you experience problems logging in after your VPN request has been approved, reset your NetID password from the Change Password then try logging in to VPN again.
