Maintained by Bill Meeks, the Snort package has been available for many years and is one of our most popular packages. Aplication Control in pfsense : PFSENSE PFsense doesn't do it by default. You'll have to see if there's an installer package available on the GUI under System Packages. Bear in mind if you want to do app inspection, make sure your PFSense has enough CPU/RAM as it's a very intensive process to inspect app traffic :)
